Creativity and Imagination are two of the most important characteristics to have, nurture and make full use of.
To write a Book, one needs creativity and imagination.
To come up with a dance move, one also needs creativity and imagination.
To paint a picture, one needs to be creative and imaginative.
When writing a Book, one is filling a blank page with words - words that make sense - words interwoven into a Storyline that is coherent, fascinating and interesting enough to hook one's Reader to the last page.
This can be a daunting task for some.
We hear of Writers suffering from Writer's block.
This is where a Writer is struggling to come up with a coherent storyline.
Anxiety, stress, pressure - all this and more can cause Writer's block.
To overcome Writer's block, one way is to find inspiration from placing oneself in a place one loves and has the most fun.
Watching and participating in dance moves always does the trick for me, especially if the choreography is unique and fascinating to watch and mimic.
I know other Writers who unwind by spending the day at the beach.
Some feel fully rejuvenated by simply not focusing on their writing for a full day, but instead, spend the whole day playing with their children.
By the time they resume their writing the following day, they are all packed up and ready to fill those empty pages with volume upon volume of words!
Their creativity and imagination would have been kicked into effect once again.
The key to tapping into your creativity and imagination is most successful when one feels relaxed, safe in the environment they are operating in and at times, secluded.
So, next time you feel like you need to recharge your creativity and imagination 'battery', find out what works best for you.
The world can do with what's brewing in that mind of yours!!
