WHICH WOULD YOU RATHER DO ... FOCUS ON THE OUTCOME OR FOCUS ON THE OBSTACLE?

‘To conquer frustration, one must remain intensely focused on the outcome, not the obstacle’ ~ T.F. Hodge
Ever noticed that when challenges rear their ‘ugly’ head in our lives, the tendency is for the mind to agonise, fret, focus on the obstacle; and forget the outcome?
Let’s say one has taken that driving test and failed, once again, for the eighth time.
Instead of one to focus on passing the test ultimately; the mind goes into automatic frustration mode as it focuses all its attention at failure number eight.
Discouragement, anger, resentment, dejection ensues.
The thought that ‘I am never going to pass this driving test’ creeps into their mind. They contemplate giving up on the eighth fail.
Yet, the truth is we should learn to: ‘Develop success from failures. Discouragement and failure are two of the surest stepping stones to success’ ~ Gopa Kumar
‘It is never too late to be what you might have been’ ~ Gopa Kumar

‘When you focus on PROBLEMS, you will have more problems.
When you focus on POSSIBILITIES, you’ll have more opportunities’ ~ Lysandra Walker
Worrying, venting, obsessing about the obstacle will never change the outcome.
Next time a problem or challenge rears it’s ‘ugly’ head into your life:
‘Start by doing what’s necessary; then do what’s possible: and suddenly you are doing the impossible’ ~ Gopa Kumar
